Being a PA is no easy task, especially when you don’t have support.
Monique started her PA journey in urgent care, where, like many others, she was thrown in with little support. She pushed herself through many difficult days, and despite learning a great deal, she found herself looking for help.
After urgent care, she took off on her own to another state to take a different PA job doing locums, and she quickly found herself battling imposter syndrome and feeling unsupported yet again.
That’s when she turned to Medgeeks.
Monique knew that she needed to surround herself with a community of people who not only wanted her to succeed, but would also hold her accountable to it. She committed to the mentorship and immediately noticed the difference.
Within the Medgeeks community, there are never any stupid questions and no judgement, no matter where you are in your medical journey. There’s just a group of like-minded clinicians and mentors who all want to give the best care they can while also learning how to stay balanced themselves.
What you surround yourself with influences you—and the good news is that you have control over that. You can choose to be part of something that shapes you in positive ways and also provides opportunities to connect and support other clinicians.
In the long run, you can’t afford to not invest in yourself.
Surround yourself with success, and you'll be far more likely to succeed. It's as simple as that.
